Project Web site

The City of Holyoke was awarded a $250,000 grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a Brownfields Site Assessment Demonstration Pilot Program. For over 150 years, Holyoke has had a strong industrial core to support its economic base. This strong economic engine remains. However, like many other New England manufacturing centers, Holyoke’s economic base has changed and left the challenging task of rehabilitating and transforming the use of several properties. The goal of Holyoke’s Pilot is to assess Brownfields sites in order to support their clean-up, reuse, and redevelopment.

This web site has been created to keep the residents of Holyoke informed of the progress of the project. Notices for public meetings, educational information and information related to the assessment progress will be posted here. Please check in on a regular basis for the latest news.
